Lord,
How great and merciful You are. Help us to see You as the mercy loving God You are. I confess Father, that all too often I see all of life in terms of my moments – Are things going well? Am I happy? Did I get treated right? Are my friends and family safe? Yet, I can miss that life really comes down to – am I seeing who You are in my circumstances? Help us to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.
Help us see You in every moment in light of this-acting justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with You. In every challenge and in every success, let us see You and your mercy—let us see Your desire to show us mercy. Teach us to act justly no matter what is happening around us and then we can walk humbly with You.
Help us to know that You care about us more than You care about our circumstances. You long for us and do whatever it takes to keep reaching for us. Help us remember that we can never exceed Your reach —our failures and our struggles cannot out weigh Your mercy. We are in desperate need of You every moment of the day—but even more You pursue us in each of those moments. Thank you, Lord.
