Lord,
Humble our flesh and make our hearts sensitive to your spirit. Do not let the desires of our hearts overwhelm the conviction of your spirit. Our hearts truly belong to you. Therefore, do not let them lust after other gods! Gods we do not know! We should know better!
Do not uproot your promises to us, Lord. Instead, turn our hearts towards Christ. Build us up again and pull us to our feet. Teach us to walk well with you again. Keep the temptations from our past behind us and let not our eyes gaze upon them. Refresh our hearts to no longer even consider them. Blind us with your glory so that you are all we see!
Remember your servant and forget not your promises, Lord. Forgive us of our trespasses and renew us through the glory of Christ.
