Father, thank you for your truth, the perfect truth that, as John declared, sets us free.  Teach us to grow in understanding your freedom and its work in our lives, as we ask you to free us from false pretense and pride; from insincere worship with shallow words and thoughtless prayers; from worldly distractions that would keep us from hearing your voice.  And also within our freedom, strengthen and empower us to hear your voice with perfection, to respond to those in need with care and concern, to live our lives before others in a manner that gives glory to you.  Then, heavenly Father, finally, renew our lives from day to day so that we can live alive and vibrant in that freedom, hearing your call plainly with ears to hear and eyes to see new ways to crown you Lord of all.
