Dear Lord,
Thank you that nothing I could have done can save me.
Thank you that my race, background, financial position, mental health, or physical appearance can keep me from salvation. Thank you that it is only through Christ that I can find hope.
Oh, how narrow the gate is. Yet, how wide your mercy. It is only through you that we can find salvation. Yet, that salvation is a gift to everyone who hears it. Nothing they have done can disqualify them. Nothing about their appearance can keep them from your glory. We are powerless compared to you, Lord. Help us to remember this, and in remembering this help us to no longer doubt. Help us to have a faith that is beyond understanding by those outside of the temple gates. May they see our faith and see you through us. Help our lives to be a testimony to the lost. Help us lose ourselves for your sake.
