Father, we praise you and we thank you for all the ways that you are blessing our lives.  We are so thankful for the privilege that you accept us as your children.  In our response to your blessing and your calling, we ask that you would give us an extra measure of awareness and sensitivity so that by your Spirit, we will recognize those divine appointments and encounters that you send among the comings and goings of our lives.  As Philip was responsive to the questions and to the need of the Ethiopian in today’s passage, give us spiritual ears and eyes to recognize the possibility of such encounters in our own walk.   With a readiness prompted by your spirit and answers to the great questions of our faith prompted by our fellowship in your word, use us to share good news.   May we never fail by carelessness or negligence to share your truth.  Then by the work of your Holy Spirit working within us, help us live before others exuding the fragrance of your character so that many will be attracted to your presence.  Thank you again for blessing our lives.  Make us useful workers in your kingdom!  Amen.
