Dear Lord,
Thank you for the freedom that we have in Christ. Our flesh is so quick to cling to the carnal, the material, and finite. Even in our best intentions, we can cling to symbols, observation of days, or other acts which without a change of the heart mean nothing.
Let us not cling to the material with our hearts clinging to it with hope. No, let our hearts be so overwhelmed with your love and holiness that we cannot help but worship you!
Give us a new revelation when it comes to worship in our lives! Help us to see what weights we can throw off so that we may run faster towards you! Convict us now, Lord, so that we would not stumble another step forward with the things holding us down.
Free us to run the race as intended!
