Father,
My heart is burdened when I see your enemies succeed in their greed. I yearn for justice and for the peace of your glory triumphing around me. I know my heart is to see your Kingdom more fully on earth, where your Kingship is at the center of worship and your people flourish in your sovereignty. But often the dark and the vile find satisfaction, and I am left to watch the weak remain poor. Even still, I am reminded that you are God now and forever! I wait for the day beyond my small vision when your way will triumph over evil!
Ezekiel 27:33-34 says,
“When your merchandise went out on the seas,
you satisfied many nations;
with your great wealth and your wares
you enriched the kings of the earth.
Now you are shattered by the sea
in the depths of the waters;
your wares and all your company
have gone down with you.”
When I cannot control my circumstances, I am reminded that you hold the power of justice! Your word does not stop with my story but continues into eternity! When the wicked and all their earthly treasure will be lost and the ways of this world will pass away! When You will place value not on the things of this world, but on righteousness and faith.
