Heavenly Father, we repeat Daniel’s prayer of praise from today’s reading:  “Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his.”  We thank you that your wisdom and power are as vast, as timeless, and as true today as they were in Daniel’s day.  Teach us from day to day, then, to lean more unto you for wisdom and guidance, as Daniel did in his hours of difficulty and crisis, to receive your instruction and your revelation of truth.  Then may we walk in your wisdom and strength.  May you also use us, our lifestyles, our resources, and our influence, to share your truth among any who seek understanding, and as a result, may others be drawn into the fellowship of our faith.  We thank you and we praise you!  Amen.
