I thank you Father that you are a “compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.” Even when we use your provision to fulfill our own selfish desires, you long to be in a relationship with your people. Nothing speaks to this reality more than the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Thank you, Lord, that you were willing to do whatever it took to overcome our sin and rebellion. Jeremiah 16:60 says, “I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.” We are eternally grateful that you did not give up on humanity but pursued us even as we ran away from you. We worship you because the blood of Jesus has cleansed us from all unrighteousness, and we have been made right with God! Holy Spirit, we ask you to transform us from the inside out and lead us into Christ likeness. Amen.
