Our heavenly Father, thank you for calling us to be your children!  Thank you for receiving us as your children!  May our grateful response accordingly blossom into a growing desire, a passion, to live our lives in a manner that brings glory to you.  As you grow, instill, and perfect that desire within us, Father, give us also a measure of zeal, a longing to seek you and to follow your way.  We pray also for our church, Father, that we would corporately grow together, molded in your will and unified in our enthusiasm for knowing you and for living daily in your presence.  We ask you as well to bless our worship, that you will find our offerings of praise as acceptable and worthy.  Then may it follow, Father, that our fellowship will produce a fragrant aroma that drifts across the streets and neighborhoods and places of commerce throughout our community, bearing and spreading witness to your Spirit alive and at work among your children and drawing others into like fellowship.   And in all, we declare “To God be the glory” for the great and wondrous works that your hands are working in our midst.  Amen.
