Dear Lord,
We come to you humbled by your presence. Allow us into your courts so that we can experience more of you. We want to draw close to you, we get our strength from you, and we recognize that without you we would be nothing. We know that you desire intimacy with your people and we come to you asking to draw us closer to you. As we read the prayers of David may our hearts echo his: “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere”. Tune our hearts to this truth and may we think on this throughout our day-there is truly no better place than your presence. You are the creator of the universe and the God that saves. Allow us to exemplify this in all we say and do so that others may see your glory in us. We love you and thank you for your unfailing love in our lives.
