Lord,
Thank you for these psalms. Thank you for the reminder to be faithful to your commands. Please help me to find joy in your commands and teach my children to have joy in them as well. Please help me to be generous with my finances, time, and resources so You are glorified.
I love the language in Psalm 114:3! The Red Sea “hurried out of their way”! What an awesome illustration- You are so powerful that mountains skip and seas hurry away at your command! Why do I struggle with fear and doubt when You are the God that I serve?
Please help me to remember and believe that You, the Almighty God, are also my Shield and Helper. I am humbled and unworthy to have You rescue me from my sin and my mistakes. Yet, You do with unfailing love and faithfulness. My response is the same as the psalmist’s “How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!”
Please help me to always recognize You are the source of my life, and the source of my victory! And let my response always be: “What can I offer the Lord for all he has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me. I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.”
Amen.
