Father,
When I seek You in prayer, let my words be led by Your will. When I make known my requests and share my hopes of miracles, remind me of Your goodness, mercy and kindness whether they’re met or not.
You’ve taught me to pray like Christ. To ask You earnestly and then submit it to Your Will above all else. Like Christ I ask “Father, if You are willing, take this cup from Me. Yet not My will, but Yours be done.” Luke 22:42
You know what will bring glory to Your name and growth to Your kingdom. Who am I to assume my understanding of my life is greater than my creators! Father, like Job, help me to be steadfast in faith as I walk through suffering. Bring me comfort by Your spirit to maintain Your Will above my own.
