Father, we ask that your holy light would fall on us, flooding troubled regions of our spirit when darkness falls. Dear Jesus, lead us through darkening shadows; subdue our anxious, wayward wills; teach us to trust the light that you will flood before our way. And thank you, loving Lord, that hell’s darkness flees before your warming smile. We then will praise you, for your light is ever more our comfort when earth’s dark emptiness gathers around, when Satan’s rude arrows assail our circumstances. In every dark season, heavenly Father, teach us to seek the light of your way. We thank you with praise! Amen.
