Father, we thank you that you are our soul’s strong fortress.  You stand before our problems, our sickness, our difficulties, our dilemmas.  Thank you that no power on earth can overwhelm us as long as we walk in your light.  So lead us, we ask, as long as life shall last, giving us understanding and wisdom to seek your will from day to day.  And then we thank you for the promise of eternity’s unfolding when we’ll join the hosts assembled in glory to sing praise to the Lamb upon the throne, for the light of heaven’s kingdom before which Hell’s darkness flees. Jesus, your light is ever our glory, our song throughout the shining years. Fall on us, light of heaven, we pray.  Amen.
