Lord,
May our hearts and minds learn from the mistakes of your people. May we see that you always see through your promises – whether for prosperity or for wrath – you are faithful.
Help us to heed your warnings when they come. Help us to listen intently to your calls.
We are not deaf. We have been given ears to hear and eyes to see. Let us not keep them in vain. Let them serve us well as we serve you, Lord.
As we listen and heed we know you are faithful to protect, guide, and shelter us.
We are yours. May your will be done.
