Dear Lord,
Thank you for the mentors you’ve placed in our lives and for the role they play in our spiritual development. Thank you that you don’t allow us to walk this road alone, but in conjunction with other believers that are there to build us up and see us grow closer to you. In our time of need you provide people and circumstances in our lives to help direct our path. We are thankful for the lessons we’ve learned from our pastors, other church members, and members of our family that have given us a spiritual legacy by which to pattern our own lives. May we also look for opportunities to mentor others spiritually so that legacy can continue to pass from generation to generation. Just as Elijah was a spiritual leader to Elisha, you have called us to do the same for others around us. We thank you again for your presence in our lives and for the opportunity to pour back into your kingdom.
