Father,
Why do I try to determine the future and manipulate the battles I face? I seek my strength and prepare myself in the ways I see fit, forgetting my greatest strength is in my faith in You! You have the ability to change the tide and conquer the enemies that stand before me. Even when my own eyes cannot believe it, You are able. You are greater than the army surrounding me and capable of great things I can only imagine. You are my resting place and my peace.
When I begin to believe I am great enough to take on the world, remind me of my weakness. When I begin to believe the battle is lost, remind me of my faith in You! You know which way I ought to go for the sake of Your Kingdom and my trust is in You alone. I believe no matter the circumstance, whether I win or lose, this life You’ve given me is committed to Your purpose. Lord, I trust You in the loss and I trust You in the victory!
