Lord,
As you said, “Be holy, because I, the Lord your God, am holy.” Help me to grow in holiness and Christlikeness. Help me to value holiness over anything else in my life. I pray you would remove everything in my life that detracts from my growing in holiness and intimacy with you. As David prayed, give me a heart after you. Give me a passion and love for the things of God that produce a deep level of holiness in me. Remove what needs to be removed, and I pray you would restore all that needs to be restored. Restore a clean heart and renewed passion in me for holiness. I pray you would transform my priorities, my desires, my longings, and the things I find pleasure in. I pray you would bring all those things into submission of Christlikeness. I want to be holy. I want to live holy. And I want the holiness of God to fill my spirit. I love you, Lord, strengthen me, purify me, and help me to be holy above all things.
