Scripture
Goodness I love psalm 19. The intro captures my main area of relating to God: nature. Nothing makes me feel closer to God than walking through nature. I used to think it was because of the isolation it creates and the ability to shut out everything else going on around us constantly. However, I think the real reason I connect so much with God through nature is because the creation, existence, and thriving nature of nature is evident in intelligent design.
Often while walking through the woods or riding my bike through nature trails I ponder on how trees gather nutrients to grow, how wild flowers thrive despite any sort of human attention. How wild animals gather food for themselves and their families. It is breathtaking to think about.
Sometimes, when I am in a season of doubt or questioning, I find myself seeking the forest to reignite my faith. Being in nature and reflecting on the fact that God put so much thought into the plants, animals, and elements surrounding me helps me realize just how much he truly cares for each of us. If He put so much forethought into how trees grow, thrive, and even provide us with oxygen, how much more care did He put into designing and caring for us? Infinitely more.
God is in nature and David knew this as well. He saw God’s hand in the sky, the heavens, and the sun. Take some time to reflect on God’s intentionality placed on the world around you. Perhaps it will allow you to see the intentionally He placed inside of you as well.
Prayer
HONOR GOD
God is more concerned with your willingness to glorify Him than what you have to offer Him. Will you honor Him, now, with what you have? Take a moment and give Him your best praise in prayer.
ASK GOD
God is ready to meet you in your time of need. Where do you need God’s grace?

CLOSING PRAYER
Father, help me to cling to your promises for they are the realest thing I have. They are true and everlasting. Do not allow me to give up your promises for simple earthly pleasures or moments of weakness. Keep me from the temptations of the enemy and may your Holy Spirit guide me in my walk each and everyday. In Jesus Name, Amen.
